Overview of Basis extension library options

Overview

When using Basis, you have two library options to choose from in the extension.

Visually, both libraries are the same.

The primary differences:

• Foundation Library is linked to element, color, and type styles. To use this library, you need to create an app with the Foundation Template
• Unstyled Library is only linked to your apps core color styles. It is not linked to element styles or type styles.

You'll also noticed the Libary switcher dropdown. I recommend using the latest version 1.1.

1.0 and 1.1 are visually very similar, 1.1 is much more cleaned up and organzed.

Which library should I use?

• If you're using Basis with an existing app that was not created with the Basis Foundation template, use the Default library!

• If you're starting a new app, we recommend using the Basis Foundation template. This ensure all elements are linked to styles, which makes customization much easer!
